Official Guide to Dental Schools Released
The American Dental Education Association has released the 2014 Edition of its ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools. It is the only comprehensive list available for prospective dental school applicants. It contains around 10 Canadian and 65 US dental education schools.
Dr. Ruth Bingham, President of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions and a Director of Student Academic Services of the Colleges of Arts and Sciences at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, said that the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools gives students, families, and advisors accurate information about having a career in the dental care industry. It provides vital information for those who want to apply to dental schools. They are also a good source of data for academic advisors and people who want to pursue a career in the industry.
ADEA has been publishing the guide for more than five decades and gives useful information for picking the right dental school. Students can use the guide to prepare for dental school and show how they can apply for one. The guide tells students what the schools look at when picking applicants, data on the schools’ diversity, tips on what to write in the essay part of the dental school application, and the cost of completing a dental school education.
Aside from the dental school data and statistical information, the guide also features ten dental school students from North America. They talked about why they choose a career in the dental industry, their goals, and experiences. They also give advice to high school students on what classes to take so that they are prepared for dental school. The guide also has a tutorial on how to use the ADEA Associated American Dental Schools Application Service that allows high school students to apply to any dental school in the US and Canada.
