Alaskans Had a Chance to Treat Dental Problems

Alaskans have recently received a chance to use the benefits of a free dental clinic. There were no requirements to get qualified for free dental care and each one willing to use the chance could join the line. The event took place at the Carlson Center and the center was supposed to serve about a thousand of people that needed dental and oral care services.
The clinic was supposed to open at 4:30 a.m. but people started gathering in front of doors before the midnight already. The reasons for visiting the clinic were different and a lot of people were in awful pain while waiting for the opening. Besides, most of people came for filling but after the proper examination the dentists took decisions to extract the painful teeth. These facts confirm that people do not get timely dental care and they wait till their teeth start falling out.
Patients that visited the center had been waiting for months to get free dental care and to save their teeth but they failed. The clinic managed to serve patients for free thanks to the patronage of Mission of Mercy. A lot of Alaskans are grateful to dentists that devote their health and strength to treating dental problems of people. The project was really hard to realize but people managed to receive the needed dental care thanks to the donations from individuals and businesses.
The organizers managed to save about $130,000 which was enough to cover all the supplies needed. Moreover, delivering the chairs and equipment appeared to be a real challenge as they were transported to Anchorage by barge and then delivered to the Carlson Center by train. Mission of Mercy managed to save on the transportation as such companies as Lynden Transport and the Alaska Railroad provided all the assistance for free.
